Little Worm says to little worm’s boy-friend (who is also 8) “My step mum makes up a dance to Macca Pacca.”
If you have kids and watch In the Night Garden you might relate to this. To get my 2 year old up, I copy the Macca Pacca dance and she loves it. She gets up too and attempts his little dance. But for Little worm to then say I make up dances to this, noooo! I had to step in and correct, but I fear the damage is done. It may well be too late and all the mums in the playground think I am way more weird than I actually am.
As it stands. my playground-cred isn’t exactly high so the damage here is minimal.
Wiggle Worm: What a big weekend. She took her first proper wee-wee in her potty after asking to go, then took 2 more. She had her first pillow and she took her first sledge ride in the snow!
Teen Worm: Dinner quote of the week! After being served fillet steak medium-rare and seeing the ‘juices’ she said something along the lines of hating the ‘blood’ then came out with ‘I’d suck at being a vampire’. She loves vamp books, movies and anything vampire so this was really funny. Love that she didn’t mean to be funny then really, really was.
I had a moment of genius myself when Big worm called Wiggles a Silly Sausage and I said, well, yes, she comes from a long string of sausages. Ok, that one was way more funny at the time.
Big Worm was funny pretty much the whole weekend as he poked fun at my various faults (of which I have many) but that’s ok because a) I give as good as I get, and, b) it’s all true and I am more than able to laugh at myself
